A: 4Patriots Survival Food is pre-packaged, high-quality, dehydrated food rated to last for up to 25 years. Most kits are packed in secure, lightweight, water-resistant storage totes. You can order a variety of kits to meet your needs. We also offer several kit add-ons to boost the nutritional and caloric value of your stockpile.
Q. What is the calorie count per day?
A. Our kits are intended to provide you with energy and nutrients during stressful emergency situations. They are not intended to be complete caloric replacements during “normal” times. In general, an average adult needs approximately 2,000 calories per day to meet their energy needs. Our time-based kits generally provide 1,000 – 1,200 calories per day. For most people, this caloric intake will be enough for survival, although it may not be enough for optimal nutrition, especially for an extended period of time.
Keep in mind that the estimated number of calories a person needs varies greatly based on age, gender and physical activity level. Every person’s needs, goals and desires for nutrition and calories is different. Every person’s access to supplement with other foods on hand (canned, bulk, refrigerated, frozen, etc.) and their likelihood to supplement by acquiring additional foods (via fishing, hunting, gardening) during an emergency situation is different.
In order to supplement your daily intake, we offer a number of supplemental products, including food bars, meat packs, fruit and vegetable packs, etc. By combining our kits with these additional products, you can ensure that you have 2,000 calories per day available to you during emergency situations.

Q. What is the shelf life of 4Patriots Survival Food?
A. Your survival food is designed to last up to 25 years on the shelf. With proper storage, it may be good even longer! You’ll have peace of mind knowing that with proper care… your “backup plan” will be delicious for decades. The secret is in the packaging: first, your food is preserved using a proprietary “low-heat” dehydration process. Then, it’s carefully packed in Mylar to protect it from heat, light and moisture.
Storage conditions can impact the shelf life of your food. Your survival food will last longest when in stable, cool temperatures… away from moist air.
So for best results, always protect your food from heat, air and moisture. Avoid prolonged exposure to temps above 75 degrees F. And keep your food sealed until you’re ready to eat it. Shelf life will vary based on storage conditions.
While most of our food is good for 25 years, some products, like eggs and emergency food rations, may have shelf life expectancy less than 25 years. Shelf life is marked on the product description.
